Remembering Floyd 

This memorial is  a tribute to one of the best friends I have ever had. Although he could be on the hardheaded side as an Alpha male he will forever remain in my heart.

Floyd was born before the breed was recognized by the American Kennel Club and it was in April of 1992 that he received his registration certificate with the AKC as one of the foundation stock. Floyd was never bred because he was such a big boy Shiba but he did compete to be among the first Shibas to earn a CD title (October 16, 1993). He also got a CGC and became a therapy dog.
